چکیده

This paper summarizes a function-based approach to create 2D flow animations. We use periodic functions to create cyclical animations that represent 2D flow. These periodic functions are constructed with an extremely simple algorithm from a set of oriented lines. The speed and orientation of the flow are described directly by the orientation and the lengths of these oriented lines. The resulting cyclical animations are simply obtained by sampling the constructed periodic functions. Two example applications of 2D flow animations is provided where they are used to improve the visualization of compressor operation.

پویانمایی شخصیت کارتونی با انتقال حرکت مفصلی و مبتنی بر اسکلت موجودات دیگر

Abstract: Nowadays, the animators give life to the fancy characters by making natural movements to organs of cartoon characters. To achieve this goal, movements of living individuals can be applied into cartoon characters. In this paper, a skeletal correspondence finding based method is proposed to transfer movement of a 2D character into a new character, where these two shapes have the same st...

Comparison of three different numerical schemes for 2D steady incompressible lid-driven cavity flow

In this study, a numerical solution of 2D steady incompressible lid-driven cavity flow is presented. Three different numerical schemes were employed to make a comparison on the practicality of the methods. An alternating direction implicit scheme for the vorticity-stream function formulation, explicit and implicit schemes for the primitive variable formulation of governing Navier-Stokes equatio...

Towards Coherent Image Space Stylization of Animated 3D Shapes

We describe a rendering technique for creating animations of 3D shapes in a range of non-photorealistic styles based on 2D patterns that resemble hand-made drawings, prints, and paintings. Producing 3D animations of such styles presents a challenge: ensuring that the 2D patterns follow 3D motions while preserving their 2D appearance are conflicting goals. Our solution is to use texture synthesi...

HTML5 Canvas, User Illusions, and Game Flow

HTML5 is significant for game pedagogy for many reasons, but the most significant is Canvas, a 2d graphics API that supports apps from word processors to space adventures. Canvas enables interactive dynamic bitmapping, drawing, animation, and simulations such as 3d-scrolling backgrounds with parallax. Alan Kay’s concept user illusion names the “simplified myth” we employ when we use icons, scro...
